Powering Down: A Talk About Art and Ecology
Bonnie Fortune is an artist and independent researcher living in Copenhagen. Her research focuses on art, ecology, and the everyday. She will present a Powerless Powerpoint focused on her art practice. The Powerless Powerpoint is a visual display system that considers what it means to power down. She will also share copies of her new book project, An Edge Effect: Art and Ecology in the Nordic Landscape (Half Letter Press, 2014), a collection of interviews, essays, and case studies about art and activism focused on the environment and ecological themes.
